I spent last week in Texas with my husband and our youngest son. ~ I was looking forward to getting away from the cold winter temperatures of home and spending a little time in t-shirts and something other than winter boots~ I flew in to Austin late on Thursday night..it was cool out, but not cold.. Friday we drove North to the Newell Ranch with our windows down and had great dinner cooked outside over the bbq~
but by Sunday night.. my Wyoming weather caught up to me~ and the remainder of the trip was spent in snow and cold~ lol.. well I guess you can’t blame a girl for trying. And I was very glad that I had packed my toasty toes.. just in case~
Despite the cold weather, snow and frozen water lines~ we still had a great time. It was nice to get away and spend time outside with my boys~ and the Rattlin Randy family. The Newell Ranch is a beautiful part of Texas, rolling hills, history and great wildlife management~ We had fun exploring, hunting and helping to feed the animals in the frozen temperatures that they are not accustomed to, and even though I was told to go home and take my weather with me, I look forward to more visits to this amazing place~
Thanks for putting up with us~
